LabSoft LIMS utilizes Control Charts as a graphing/auto analyzing tool that checks for runs &
trends. Because the tools are built-in, Control Charts can be accessed from many locations
throughout LabSoft LIMS such as Results Entry, Process View, Notices, etc.
- Control Events
Control Charts can be set to perform specific actions if certain Control Events occur. Control
Events can be set to act on Product of Customer Specifications. Example Control Events are:
n consecutive points ascending or descending, n points above or below the mean,
Out of Spec, Out of 3 Sigma, etc. The user can select a data point and view what Control
Event was violated, the Action Taken, General Notes, and Assignable Cause.
- Trend Notification
If a violation occurs, LabSoft LIMS can execute any combination of the following tasks for the
Control Chart:
- E-mail a text message to a pager.
- E-mail the Control Chart as an attachment.
- Create a Notice for a user or group of users.
- Automatically Print the Control Chart.
- Circle the data point that triggered the violation.
