Generate simple to complex reports and graphs as your organization demands with LabSoft
LIMS
built-in Query tool. Query is an integrated module that does not require you
to use third party tools to perform reporting. Extensive configuration options allow you
to accomplish unlimited types of reports for data analysis. Display trends to expose data
relationships and zero in on important events occurring in your process.
- Complete Data Availability
Query has access to test results and all of the information in the LabSoft LIMS database
such as Spec Histories, Action Taken and Assignable Cause events, traceability events such
as who entered a test result and from what workstations, and previous values of test results
that were overwritten. Query allows for extensive drilldowns via the Properties window to
access all of the known information about a test result.
- Seamless
Because the Query tool is built-in, users are not required to have extensive knowledge of
the underlying database structure.
- Management
Query report and Graph setups are stored in the LabSoft LIMS database as "Sets"
to provide security and accessibility. Query Sets can be categorized and secured by user
ownership. The user determines who can execute the "Set" and if others can change
the configuration. "Set" ownership can be passed from user to user.
- Consistent Look
Query does not require users to learn a foreign interface because is uses the same visual
interface methodology as the rest of LabSoft LIMS.
- Additional Query Features
Query provides advanced data grouping options such as Date/Time, Date, Fiscal
Week, Month, Year, Fiscal Quarter, Product, Customer, User, Status, Priority, Submitter,
Approver, Short Note, and User Definable Fields.
Figure 1 shows many of the
column formats provided by Query when data is grouped.
Query makes items like Specs, Product, Customer, Approver, Notes, Action Taken and Line easily accessible for reporting.
Query provides complete statistics as shown in
Figure 3. It also provides
hypothetical "What If" options for LSL, USL, Target, Preset Mean & Preset
Sigma to check the effect on statistics.
Drilldowns. Clicking on a test result in the Query data grid or graph pops up a window yielding
all of the known aspects of a test result such as: who entered it, previous values, applicable
specification information, notes, Actions Taken, Assignable Cause information, etc. This type of
information would not be available from a non-integrated tool. The Result ID Properties
drilldown window in
Figure 4 is available throughout LabSoft LIMS. All
related information about a test result can be accessed through this window including COAs created
using this test result and the applicable specification agreement.
Query provides many graphing options including Individuals, X-Bar, Range, Moving Range and Histogram.
Additional Query Features
- Fully Integrated
- Ownership/User Control - Each "set" can be owned and controlled by a user.
The user determines who can execute the set and if other users can change the configuration. Set
ownership can be passed from user to user.
- Drilldowns - Clicking on a test result value pops up a window
yielding all of the known aspects of a test result such as: who entered it, previous values,
applicable specification information, notes, Actions Taken, Assignable Cause information, etc.
- Export - Write Query Data Grid to HTML, PDF, or Excel.
- E-mail - E-mail the Data Grid, Plots, and Statistics.
- Complete Statistics - Mean, Sigma, Cpk, Cp, CR, % in Spec, # Points
in Spec, # Points out of Spec, Min, Max, Range
- Sigma Options - True, Preset, and Estimated
- Spec History - Test results are compared to specs in use at time of data entry, not
what the specs are when results are reported.
- Graphing Options - Individuals, X-Bar, Range, Moving Range,
Moving Average, Delta Differential, XY, and Histogram. A pivot option allows you to switch
the X and Y axes.
- Grouping Options - Date/Time, Date, Fiscal Week, Month, Fiscal
Quarter, Product, Customer, User, Status, Priority, Submitter, Approver, Short Note, Lot
(user defined key), Sub-Parts, and User Definable Fields.
- Sections - Allows sub-reports to be contained in one Query.
- Column Formatting Options - Point, LSL, USL, Target, Mean, Min,
Max, Range, % In Spec, # of Points In Spec, # of Points Out Of Spec, # of Points, Total, Sigma,
Cpk, Cp & CR
- Hypothetical "What If" Options - LSL, USL, Target, Preset Mean & Preset Sigma
- Constraints - Extensive constraint abilities: Sample Date/Time Start/Stop Range, Lot
(user defined key) Start/Stop Range, Product, Sub-Product, Customer, Submitter, Out of Spec, etc.
- Related Sub-Report Items - Action Taken, Certificates of Analysis Created, Audit Events,
Notes, Test Specials, and Assignable Cause Notes
- Crystal Reports - Seamless interface with Business Objects' Crystal Reports to create
"business standard" reports with the data from LabSoft LIMS. The generated reports are
integrated into LabSoft LIMS and their creation is seamless to the user. Reports can include LabSoft
LIMS data, totals/subtotals, graphics, etc. Once a report is created, it can be printed or
exported. Export formats include: HTML, PDF, RTF, XML, CSV, or Excel.
