Notices are E-mail type messages that are sent to a user notifying them about a specific LIMS event.
Examples include: Control Chart detecting Out Of Spec data or ascending/descending trends, a
Specification Agreement needing review for approval, and creation of a Certificate of Analysis. New
Notices can be set to "pop-up" in a window for quick user response. The user can then open
a specific Notice to view the actual triggering event. For example, if the Notice was triggered by an
Out of Spec event on a Control Chart, opening the Notice will graphically display the Control Chart
for immediate review and subsequent corrective action.
Figure 1 demonstrates the accessibility provided by Notices. From the Notices window,
users have direct access to the Notice event(s). In this example a Specification Agreement
requires approval.
